A fresh coat of paint…

I have reached my goal of over 1,000 unique visitors to alittlegemblog, huzzah!

So, after a year of rambling about anything and everything, I thought it was time that alittlegemblog received a mini-makeover.

An hour later, after testing about thirty different themes, I have finally found THE ONE.

*sighs* It’s beautiful.

Perhaps it’s just me and my sleep addled brain, but I think it looks more professional and is far more functional than the old one. FYI: The new theme is called Expound. The old one was Revelar.

I would love to hear what you think and if you come across any bugs which need correcting during the change-over.

Now, this post also comes as a humble apology. It has been almost two months since my last post. I know, shame on me.

But, I have a weeks worth of writing posts from my sister blog (The Storytellers Hub) lined up to give me plenty of time to catch up on my writing responsibilities.

So, where have I been? Well, I’ve been focusing on my creative writing projects of late (between study and work – it’s a busy time) and am very excited to have finally sorted through all of my old USB sticks and hard drives to collate and organize all my writing works. Trust me, there were a lot.

I’ve given myself some respectable goals to achieve by the end of the year, and I hope to have finally reached a point where I can focus some time on my dream of becoming a published author.

As I may have mentioned in previous posts, I have three dusty old manuscripts which need a serious edit before they will see the light of day, plus a solid chunk of four or five novels and novellas which could be polished and completed.

I’m hoping to have something finished by the end of the year, and I’m hoping this blog will keep me honest. 😉

So, tomorrow begins Writing Week on alittlegemblog. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

Best wishes,

~ Gem.
